When you think of lemons, do you think of candy or clean floors? Or maybe pie?

We had Slow Cooker Lemon Chicken with Lemon Rice Pilaf for dinner tonight. It was really flavorful without being overwhelming. Tonight was the first time I made the recipe, but it’s a keeper. The recipe is below the jump. (more…)

Weighing my options June 4, 2006

I have 32 points that I could still eat today, thanks to the Bonus Allowance Points. This is after having 2 slices of pepperoni pizza (thanks to a trip with a friend and her two sons to Chuck E Cheese) and half a Pecan Cluster Blizzard. I guess I could just go to bed and forget about it, but I’d really rather eat something.

See, this is the problem. Even though I don’t need it, I want it.

Sigh…

Fresh start June 3, 2006

Today began with a Sausage and Egg Biscuit with Cheese from McDonalds.

Then I went to my second job, where I work at a womens fitness center.

Yup - I took my 500 calorie, fat-laden breakfast sandwich with me into work, and then watched a bunch of ladies work out. I worked out to, but I really, really doubt I burned up much more that 100 calories. That’s only 20% of that McD’s breakfast.

Then, this afternoon, I decided that was enough. I joined Weight Watchers. My goal? Lose just over 50 pounds. Preferably in about a year.

There - I said it. I’m counting on you to keep me honest.
