Oh, my! What have we here? Is it a shiny new MacBook?
Why, yes it is. I’m typing on a pretty, clean, white, and fast MacBook. I got the middle option - not the cheapest one, not the on that comes in black, but the one that does have a dvd burner and 120GB hard drive. Woo!
Anyway, not going to stay and chat long, since I have to go see what my new toy can do!
A friend of ours is leaving Taiwan tomorrow - her year is up, and she’s headed home. So, naturally, we went out tonight to have a drink with her and all the other drinking regulars. We didn’t stay too long (had to get home and post, right?), but I was glad to see her one last time before she went.
Work is getting better, it seems. I mean, it’s still annoying and Lola is still throwing fits over nothing, but I’m working on the whole let-it-just-roll-off-you thing. It seems a little absurd now that we were upset enough to be considering packing up and leaving fast enough to be home for Christmas, but I guess stress and a new teaching job can do that to a person.
We’ve got big spending plans for this weekend - while last weekend was a mishmash of domestic appliances and household needs, this weekend is going to be the one when we buy new techy toys. A new camera to replace the busted one, new headphones for Seth, a ne harddrive, possibly a new laptop (as mine seems to be slowing noticably by the day), and I don’t know what all else (the list is more in Seth’s brain for this sort of stuff).
So, this daily posting has been fun. Sometimes a hassle and an minor annoyance, but mostly fun. I like the feeling I get knowing I’m recording everything, even the mundane minutia. My plan is to continue to post daily. We’ll have to see just how well that works out, eh?

We’re headed out to Keelung tonight with the new NST. She’s hoping to find a new guitar, and I’m hoping to find some more wintery clothes - lons sleeve shirts, mostly. So, since there’s a better than decent chance we may end up celebrating successful purchases at the bar, I thought I’d go ahead and post before we left.
This daily posting thing is sort of weird. I mean, it’s not like I’m really all that interesting. And I’ve got a cruddy camera right now, so I’m not taking many pictures. Who really cares? I get more comments on Facebook than here, but still I persist. You could say I’m doing it because I joined NaBloPoMo, but in truth, I joined that as a way to kickstart me to write more. I’m hoping it’ll get me in the habit and I’ll continue to write long past November. It’s good for me, and I know I’ll appreciate having done it later on when I’ve forgotten everything about living here.
Anyway, sorry for the boring whiny post. I’ll try to come up with something better tomorrow.
