Not too long after Seth and Lisbeth got married, Seth’s brother and sister-in-law called them up and asked them if they’d join a foster-parenting class, as a previously-enrolled family had dropped out, and they needed another family to keep the class from getting canceled. Seth and Lisbeth figured “why the hell not?” and joined the class.
One of the features (drawbacks?) was that the class met for 3 hours, once a week, over the dinner hour. So, each family took turns bringing food for everyone, signing their names to the weeks they’d be responsible. The brother and sister-in-law had already marked their weeks with their name, leaving Seth and Lisbeth unsure as to how to differentiate their food-bringing weeks with the brother and sister-in-law’s food-bringing weeks. Until, of course, one of them thought to use offWhite. Oh! Clever, clever Seth and Lisbeth! Such sparkling wit! Such stunnng use of the thrilling, high-brow humor!
Then they realized that the clever, witty nom de couples would make a fabulous URL and website for the two of them to share, and history, my dear reader, was born.
