My life is too boring to write about today. I went to work, I worked for over 12 hours, got paid for 6.5 of them, blah blah blah. I came home and our friend Alison was here for tech support, so we been chatted up a storm (shop talk, of course, as it so often tends to be), and I’ve done no knitting (boo). But, time with real people is better than time with yarn, as long as the people are good ones (she is, so no worries), so it’s all good.
I’m just about ready to fall asleep now. I may not actually be able to fall asleep, since I’ve got this hacking cough that won’t leave, and all sorts of sinus drip fun, and sheesh, I think this job (or more specifically, the hours) are killing me. I hope our potential schedule changes work out or I get used to it, because as it is now, something’s got to give, and that something so far, as been my health.
I like my health. I really sort of miss it. I hope it comes home soon. I suppose going to sleep earlier than midnight might help that some. That’ll happen one of these days, I’m sure. I’ll keep on trying to make it happen, at any rate.

uh….the manager said that she’d try really hard to rearrange the schedules to take us off of kindy duty, but then again, they’ve made lots of promises before with very few of them being carried out. So, yeah, the meeting went well-ish in theory, but we’re not holding our breath, and as soon as I stop feeling so wretched, I’m going to start sending out feelers. I think no matter what happens at the current job, a change is on the horizon - the question is only if it’s the next rest stop or a few more down the road.
yay for mail - did you send it this last saturday?

Hi Lisbeth,
My new job is not perfect (what job is?), but it seems pretty good so far. They’re kind of dis-organised about my ARC (and I’m really hoping I don’t have to do a visa run), but it’s generally pretty good apart from that.
At least one person is leaving soonish, and they’re having trouble getting certified teachers (they’ve had one un-certified guy for a while, but they can’t legally keep him, so he’s going). I think you should give it a shot. For crying out loud, they just hired an Australian woman who was born in, and grew up in, The Philippines. She’s ancient too. A lot of the staff are. I think you’d have a good shot at getting a position here.
I’ll give you a call on the weekend to tell you more about this job.
