Aside from the leaves…

Posted under weather, taiwan - Thursday, October 11, 2007

It’s starting to feel like fall.  Ever since last week’s typhoon, the weather has been (relatively) cool, and the sun hasn’t come out at all.  I don’t know what the actual temperature is, but it feels like in the evening it’s dropping below 80F, and combined with the constant state of overcast, I can almost convince myself that fall here feels like fall at home.  I’m really looking forward to winter, though.  I don’t think the trees will change color, but the air already has an almost crisp quality to it, despite being still warm, and that has left me hopeful that winter here will *actually* feel like fall at home.

/fingers crossed

80s and 70s huh? Sounds like fall here. How cold will it get in the winter?

At the risk of making you homesick, there is finally some color on trees, a crispness in the air (think chili eating weather), & after yesterday’s drizzle that lasted until evening, we’re now enjoying a perfect example of “October’s bright blue weather”. If only I weren’t at work looking for recipes for odoriferous patrons… (OK, that’s Wes’ responsibility but you get my drift).

Is Halloween celebrated over there? We’re dressing up at the library–I will be the queen bee (so why should Halloween be different from every other day?)
